\nKenya has
\nrecorded the first recovery from the COVID-19 infection.<\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n

\nMaking the
\nannouncement on Wednesday, President Uhuru Kenyatta said the patient had fully
\nrecovered from the infection, terming it as the clearest indication that the country would defeat the pandemic.<\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n

\n\u201c\u2026more
\nimportantly we have registered our first patient who has fully recovered from
\nthis virus. This fellow Kenyans is a clear indication that we can and indeed
\nwill defeat this virus,\u201d said President Kenyatta.<\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n

\nHe, however,
\nrevealed that three more patients had tested positive for the coronavirus
\nbringing the national tally to 28 confirmed cases.<\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n

\nKenyatta
\nfurther stated that numerous other cases have been found to be negative after
\nrigorous testing.<\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n

\nHe added that
\nmany more persons, both Kenyans and foreigners, remain under close monitoring
\neither under self or compulsory quarantine.<\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n

\nKenyatta assured that the country, both at the National and County level, is
\nimplementing strict evaluation protocols to seek out and test persons who may
\nbe carriers of the coronavirus.<\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n
