Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office responsible for Policy, Parliamentary Affairs, Labor, Employment, Youth and the Disabled, Jenesta Mhagama, has today urged youths in Songea region to utilize NMB Master Boda opportunities which are available with loans, cash as well as motorbikes so as to improve and legalize their businesses. During the launch of NMB Master Boda held in Peramiho the small town in Songea district at Ruvuma region.
Minister Mhagama has told more than 200 attending that the bodaboda sector is now respected and recognized as a legal employment and therefore the youths have to use the opportunity accordingly so as to earn their income.
Minister Mhagama added that through NMB bank’s Masterboda campaign, bodaboda riders have officially legalized and they have a chance to get support though different loans including motorcycles. “The government recognizes your sector and we promise to continue creating good environment by cooperating with our stakeholders such as NMB Bank”, said Mhagama.
On the other hand, NMB Bank’s Deputy Head of Finance, Benedicto Baragomwa, has assured bodaboda riders and the government that the new service will bring opportunities to many riders all over the country. “For Ruvuma region only, we have planned to visit more than 85,000 people who through QR code, also will be able to get loan opportunities and improve their businesses”, he added
