Microfinance Bank (NMB) has started to deliver insurance services at all its
224 branches countrywide following the launch of a services known as Bank
insurance at an event held in Dar es salaam yesterday.

According to NMB,
the services will be available in all NMB branches including Sanlam Life
Company, UAP, National Insurance Cooperation, Jubilee, Zanzibar Insurance
Corporation and Reliance.

Speaking during
the launch, NMB’s Senior Insurance Manager, Martin Massawe, said that the
presence of NMB branches all over the country will support the growth of the
insurance sector which will also increase the national income.

the Insurance commissioner from Tanzania Insurance Regulatory authority (TIRA),
Dr. Mussa Juma, said the government through its institution, takes efforts to
improve small sectors including the insurance sector.
