Earlier on Friday Nigeria announced the first case of the corona virus in sub-Saharan Africa.The case is an Italian citizen who works in Nigeria and returned from Milan earlier this week.
Ogasie Ehanire,Health Minister said in a statement on Twitter, “The patient is clinically stable,with no serious symptoms, and is being managed at the Infectious Diseases Hospital in Yaba,Lagos”.
Low number of cases across Africa which has economic ties with China which is the center of the deadly outbreak,has puzzled health specialists.
Nigeria becomes the third country in Africa to report the case there had been just two cases across the continent that is Egypt and Algeria.
